Baby Dance Blast!

Session 1 : June 14-18

Session 2: June 21-25

*Flamenco, Ballet, Creative Contemporary Dance, Arts n crafts time & snacks.

All classes 9am – 1pm

(Ages 3-6) $195/session *May open up through ages 12 on availability.

Dance info:  Flamenco classes will be led by Jesus Muñoz and apprentices.  Ballet will be taught by Tracy Ritter of New Mexico Ballet Company and Creative Contemporary Dance will be taught by Kirsten Allard of the National Dance Institute.  All instructors have had extensive training in working with children in large group situations and are eager to be teaching at Casa Flamenca.  Students will learn about group choreography, fundamentals of dance etiquette, working in groups, and most of all… they will have a blast doing it!  A short studio performance will close each session.

Clothing for the week:  Girls: long skirt, leotard with tights and ballet slippers.  Socks will suffice in lieu of ballet slippers.  Boys: comfortable pants & t-shirt and socks.  Both boys and girls need hard-soled shoes for Flamenco class.  Any hard soled shoe will work.

Orientation for both sessions is Sunday June 13, from 8-9am.

Enrollment Deadline:  8am, Day of Session.  I.e.  June 14th session I deadline is: June 14th @ 8am.

Other Non-Flamenco Workshops (March 6th & 7th)

–Members from the International sensation STOMP, Cirque de Soleil and Step Afrika branch off to form, MOLODI!  Molodi is a rhythmic body percussion group with influences from African gum boot, step-dancing, tap and broadway dance.  These incredible performers will be holding a two day workshop.  This is an event not to be missed!!
